Somos Votantes and Somos PAC Announce Nearly $20 Million Investment to Reach Latino Voters Ahead of the 2026 Midterms
One of the largest independent Latino voter engagement efforts of the cycle, Somos Votantes' nonpartisan civic engagement program spanning across multiple states, Somos PAC's persuade to mobilize campaign targeting competitive congressional districts and governors races
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Somos Votantes and its sister organization, Somos PAC, announced that their combined 2026 election cycle investment to engage Latino voters has reached nearly $20 million, making it one of the largest independent Latino civic and voter engagement efforts in the country ahead of the November 3rd election.
Since August, the two organizations have rolled out programs across multiple states, beginning with a $6 million investment in Texas, followed by $1 million in Wisconsin, $4 million in Arizona, $3 million in Michigan, and $3.6 million in Nevada.
The total also includes an early $500,000 Somos PAC share of a $1.5 million TV and digital investment made in partnership with LCV Victory Fund launched in July targeting Reps. Bill Huizenga (MI-04) and Eli Craine (AZ-02) over rising utility costs along with a new $500,000 push in California's 22nd congressional district.
“Latino families are working harder than ever to keep up, and they deserve to be heard. From Texas to Michigan to Nevada, our teams are on the ground building the kind of real, lasting trust that meaningful civic engagement requires – a continuation of the work we’ve done for these communities year round”, said Melissa Morales, founder and president of Somos Votantes and Somos PAC. “That work matters most right now, when Latino voters have power in these midterms. This investment ensures we meet every Latino voter where they are — at the door, online, and in their community.”
The cumulative investment builds on Somos Votantes and Somos PAC's history of running some of the largest independent Latino civic and voter engagement programs in the country, and follows the organizations' latest national and state-by-state polling earlier this year, which found cost of living to be a dominant, intensifying concern among Latino voters — 64% say costs have risen "a lot" in the past year, driven by grocery prices (62% extremely concerned) and healthcare costs (59%).
Voters blame politicians over corporations for price-gouging by a 3-to-1 margin, and blame Republican economic policies — tariffs, military spending, cuts to health and food programs — over Democratic ones by 2-to-1. Trump's war with Iran has emerged as a top Republican vulnerability, with majorities tying it directly to higher inflation (65%), gas prices (64%), and taxpayer costs (63%).
