Latino voter engagement helped propel David Crowley to victory
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Somos Votantes and Somos PAC founder and president Melissa Morales released the following statement on Wisconsin results:
“Wisconsinites just elected a Governor who is going to make life better and more affordable.. Congratulations to Governor-elect David Crowley on a hard-fought win. Crowley isn’t just fighting for working families—he’s lived their struggles, and that’s what makes him a true leader.. He earned the trust of Latino voters by not just talking about the skyrocketing cost of health care, gas, and groceries, but putting forward a plan to lower them. We are proud of the work done in Wisconsin where Latino voters were reached at historic levels: over 80,000 doors knocked, more than 20,000 conversations and a combined $1 million invested across Somos PAC’s and Somos Votantes’ programs. The clock is ticking, it’s time to show working families that our government can actually deliver those results."
