Record-setting voter turnout propel Adam Hamilton to decisive victory
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Somos PAC founder and president Melissa Morales, released the following statement on Kansas results:
“Today, hardworking Kansans showed up at the ballot box to collect on a long-overdue debt: promises that were never delivered. Congratulations to Senator-elect Adam Hamilton on a historic win. Kansas’s motto, ‘Ad Astra per Aspera’, rings truer tonight, when voters in one of the reddest states in the country lived it. Today, we are one step closer to that promise. Democrats should take note, a good candidate who takes the cost of living seriously and shows up can win anywhere.
Somos is proud of the work we did in Kansas as the only political group talking to voters in Latino heavy districts. Hamilton has dedicated his life to caring for our communities. Now he has to bring that same commitment to the U.S. Senate and deliver real, tangible relief for working families. The clock is ticking, it’s time to show working families that government can actually deliver results.”
